in black and white

I recently came across a selection of beautifully haunting black and white images of Frances Bean Cobain and while I don't identify (or really like) her personal style, the photos themselves are stunning. Hedi Slimane has a way of transforming a simple shot into something so powerful. Her ever poignant portraits of Amy Whinehouse also have a similar dark, raw feeling to them.
