attendez svp

Wait. Hold on. Just a minute. Pause.

Ask anyone and they would tell you that any of the above words are a large source of frustration. Waiting implies a lack of control, an acknowledgement that something is simply out of your hands. For someone like myself, I'd rather be in the driver seat than standing at a cross walk, waiting for the light to turn green. I've struggled with the admittance that most of life is not in my control. As I've gotten older, I've come to the realization that while waiting may be frustrating and disheartening, its for a reason. Rather than trying to force life to acquiesce to my demands, I need to let it simply happen. To trust that God puts us all on this earth for a purpose and a plan.

I'm not saying watch life wizz by while passively waiting, but rather act in faith and in virtue that the things that are out of your own control will eventually fall into place. March along, make bold choices, take the chances given to you and enjoy the surprises that life dishes out.
